Nice video. But what's with the new inherent fad of having to show a time lapse at the beginning and end of a video? It's an action sports video cliche now. I think it's time to get ideas from other sources than to keep emulating the action videos of the past that. The end was very Chain Smoke 2, but they did a better job.

It has that feel because: 1. They used a tripod, slow pans, and little zooming. Stronger focus on aesthetics than action, etc. 2. They tried to make it look like 16mm film by using a prosumer HD cam with a 35mm DOF adapter, which is a good cheap way to fake the film look. 3. It had interviews, which almost invariably makes a video less "in your face action" so to speak. And mellow music.
